On Saturday, March 28, 2026, Scouts and adult leaders from Troop 1325 spent the morning weeding, edging, pruning and mulching part of the grounds at Trinity United Methodist Church as part of the church's preparations for Easter services.

Troop 1325 at Germantown Flea Market

 


Troop 1325 at Germantown Flea Market the First Saturday of the Month


Come see Troop 1325 at the Germantown Flea Market Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 8 AM to 1 PM at the Germantown MARC train station (at Germantown Rd. & Bowman Mill Dr.) Scouts will be assisting with set up and clean up as well as selling items during the flea market, the proceeds of which go to raising funds for troop activities. Troop 1325 partners with the Germantown Historical Society and the Menare Foundation to help set up and run the flea market the first Saturday of every month (April - November). 


Troop 1325 will also be collecting non-perishable food donations to support Germantown HELP's food pantry.

Troop 1325 Held a Court of Honor on March 25, 2026


Troop 1325 swore in their new senior patrol leader and patrol leaders and celebrated rank advancements and merit badge completions at a Court of Honor on March 25, 2026. The troop also welcomed several new Scouts and their families to the troop. Afterwards, Scouts, leaders and families enjoyed refreshments.

Scouts and leaders from Troop 1325 participated in a Bridging Ceremony with Cub Scout Pack 1199 on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Troop 1325 welcomed two new Scouts into their troop at the event.

Scout Sunday 2026

On February 8, 2026, Scouts from Troop 1325 and Cub Scouts from Pack 1199 participated in Scout Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The troop and pack are very grateful for the church allowing them to use their space for meetings and events. Scouts and Cub Scouts handed out bulletins and greeted people before the service started.

Troop 1325 Volunteers at Pack 1199 Pinewood Derby

Scouts from Troop 1325 volunteered to assist with Cub Scout Pack 1199's Pinewood Derby event on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The Scouts helped with set up, flag ceremony, the race, and cleaning up after the event. The Scouts enjoyed revisiting memories from their own Pinewood Derby experiences in Cub Scouts.

Troop 1325 visits the National Cryptologic Museum

On January 24, 2026, Scouts from Troop 1325 visited the National Cryptologic Museum in Fort Meade, Maryland . At the museum, they learned about how codes and cyphers evolved over time and how different organizations encrypted their messages. Also, Scouts learned about the evolution of computers and cell phone technology. By learning the history of cryptology, the Scouts were able to fulfill a requirement for the Signs, Signals, and Codes merit badge.
