All the Scouts attended meetings with officials or timers before the meet to understand the rules and they also observed the officials during the meet as part of their requirements for the Athletics merit badge. Troop 1325 Attends Innovations in Flight Exhibit at Air & Space Museum

On Saturday, June 14th Scouts from Troop 1325 and their families went to the Udvar-Hazy Center of the National Air & Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia. They attended a special event called Innovations in Flight that brought in a number of World War II era planes to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. Some of the Scouts were trained on the pre-flight safety check on a B-29. Scouts were also able to go inside a NOAA airplane that flies into hurricanes and learn about the equipment used to assess hurricanes.
