Troop 1325 Fall Court of Honor

 

Troop 1325 Held a Court of Honor on September 23, 2026

Troop 1325 swore in their new senior patrol leader and patrol leaders and celebrated rank advancements and merit badge completions at a Court of Honor on September 23, 2026. Scouts earned more than 75 merit badges across 25 different subjects. The troop also welcomed several new Scouts and their families to the troop. Afterwards, Scouts, leaders and families enjoyed refreshments.

Troop 1325 at the 2026 Maryland Seafood Festival

Troop 1325 traveled to Sandy Point State Park near Annapolis, Maryland, on September 11th to prepare for a weekend of service at the Maryland Seafood Festival. The Scouts and adult leaders worked with members of another troop to pick up trash and remove trash bags throughout the two day event. The Scouts also got to enjoy the park, beach, beautiful weather, and music throughout the weekend. 

Troop 1325 Join Scouting Archery Event - 9/2/26

Troop 1325 Welcomes Interested Families at Join Scouting Archery Event on September 2, 2026

Troop 1325 invites interested families to join us on September 2, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church (13700 Schaeffer Road, Germantown, Maryland 20874) for an archery event. Students ages 11 to 18 are eligible to join and participate in the event. Parents and guardians will need to sign a release form prior to their child participating in the archery event and parents and guardians should stay for the entirety of the event. Students should wear closed toe shoes.

Troop 1325 attends Camp Rodney

 

Troop 1325 attends Camp Rodney

Troop 1325 spent the week starting July 26, 2026, along the banks of the Chesapeake Bay at Camp Rodney in North East, Maryland. Several of the troop's newer Scouts participated in the Brownsea program working on rank requirements and requirements for the swimming and nature merit badges. Other Scouts spent the week in classes to earn a variety of other merit badges. The Scouts had a good time and look forward to camp next year. Thanks to the camp staff, troop leaders and parents who helped make this such a memorable week!

Troop 1325 at 2026 Radio Merit Badge Day

Scouts from Troop 1325 traveled to Damascus, Maryland, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, to participate in the Radio Merit Badge class at the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department Activities Center Pavilion. Scouts participated in the opening flag ceremony at the start of the event. They then had the opportunity to earn the Radio merit badge or assist other Scouts at the event.

Troop 1325 Team at National Havoc Robot League Competition

Troop 1325’s “Just Eric” team—made up of six Scouts—took part in the National Havoc Robot League 2026 Open World Championship Qualifier Round 4 held in Norwalk on May 2, 2026. As the youngest competitors in the arena, they faced off against seasoned teams from across the United States and around the world.

Over the past ten months, the team dedicated countless hours to designing and building their robot, refining their driving skills, and preparing for competition day. Their hard work paid off as they competed with determination and confidence in three matches against highly experienced opponents, executing the strategies they had practiced.

Beyond the competition itself, participating in NHRL proved to be a deeply inspiring experience for the team. Watching advanced robots in action and interacting with skilled builders sparked their curiosity and strengthened their passion for robotics and engineering. The event motivated them to think bigger, improve their designs, and continue learning new skills. It also reinforced the value of teamwork, perseverance, and creative problem-solving—lessons they will carry forward into future challenges.

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, Scouts from Troop 1325 volunteered at Rockville Science Day at Montgomery College's Rockville campus. Scouts assisted exhibitors by carrying equipment and materials to their exhibit locations. The Troop also presented the flags at the opening ceremony.
