Garden Cleanup at Trinity Church

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Scouts and adult leaders from Troop 1325 spent the morning weeding, edging, pruning and mulching part of the grounds at Trinity United Methodist Church as part of the church's preparations for Easter services. 

Orienteering Hike Along Seneca Greenway Trail

 

Scouts from Troop 1325 spent the early morning setting up an orienteering hike as part of their requirements for the Signs, Signals, and Codes Merit Badge. AOL Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 1199 joined them later in the morning for the hike and orienteering lesson. 

Northwest Cluster Anti-Bullying Event

 

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, Scout and adult leaders from Troop 1325 participated in an anti-bullying event for students in Northwest High School Cluster at Kingsview Middle School. The troop taught children how to make rockets out of straws and tape. The visitors also learned about florescent rocks. 

Visit to the Library of Congress

Troop 1325 along with AOL Scouts from Pack 1199 toured the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, on Saturday, January 13, 2024. In addition to exploring the building and exhibits, the Scouts got to meet with Meg Medina, current National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. 

Troop 1325 Hosts Cub Scouts for Indoor Campfire

On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Troop 1325 welcomed Arrow of Light Scouts from Troop 1199 for an indoor campfire. The evening began with the scouts learning and performing skits. Later, the Cub Scouts learned to tie square, clove hitch, and bowline knots. The evening ended with a fun knot tying relay race.
